One day we were at the mall and I went into Gap so Mike of course went across the hall to Brookstone. I love Brookstone, but it is one of those stores where everything in there is fun, interesting, and cool, but not really something you'd buy.
So Mike walks out with a bag. I thought what the hell did he buy?!? Last time he bought a mini helicopter that he played with like 1x and it was $30 so I could only imagine what was coming out of this bag when we got home. He wouldn't tell me until we got home what he had bought.
He runs upstairs and then tells me when I can come up. I walk into our room and he introduces me to Moshi. Moshi is an alarm clock. You talk to her, she talks to you. I thought Mike had lost his mind.
After living with our new roommate for about a week, we were trying to set Moshi for the next morning. You say, Hello Moshi and she responds back. Then you say Set Alarm. She responds, Tell me the time you want the alarm to be set. Then all you have to say is the specific time.
We said 7:15. Seven Fifteen. Moshi responds 6:18. We start all over again. Hello Moshi. Set Alarm. 7:15. Alarm is set for 8:19. WTF?!?
Hello Moshi. Set alarm. SEVEN FIFTEEEN!!!! By now we are screaming...not sure if it will help or hurt the situation. Alarm is set to 10:15. Well, we are halfway there!
We must have done this at least 10x. We tried to get real close and see if it helped. We tried to go far away...into another room... and yell at her and see if it helped. Finally we took a break and tried it one more time a bit later. Alarm is set for 7:18. CLOSE ENOUGH!!! We'll take it.
Thanks Moshi.
She has grown on me. Sometimes I like to use her sleep sounds. And Mike wakes up to another woman everyday! Hah. She's my only other ally in the house...all the rest are boys.
