-- Good Mooning --
We got a major snowstorm (major exaggeration) this past weekend and it actually was still snowing Monday morning when I left for San Diego.
Mike cleared off my car and even warmed it up for me as it had been sitting all weekend. He loaded all my luggage and gave me a kiss goodbye. Muah!
I called him as soon as I had left and driven down the alley because I forgot my wedding ring. When I do the dishes I put it in a dish to the side of the sink so that it doesn't slip off my finger. So I drove around front and then back down the alley so that he could bring it to me.
Oh... he brought it to me.
It was -4 degrees windchill, probably 12 degrees and snowing and here he comes...
Running out in a t-shirt and his underwear and his duck shoes... OMG!!!
I was laughing so hard!!!
Then on the way back into the garage he mooned me.
Anyone else have a husband that is this immature?

Tape It
Yesterday Mike and I went out shopping.
We had a game plan.
Sam's Club - no particular reason. Mike wanted lunch. Lunch = samples during lunch hours.
Menard's - look at Christmas lights and get air filters.
Stop by Grandparents - just to say hi.
The North Face - to look at gloves.
Dicks - to look at gloves.
Target - Grocery Shop and look at Christmas lights.
We left at 12 noon. We had just gotten in from taking the dogs out in the snow - because they love it - and I'd defrosted Louie who had ice balls hanging from all over him.
Mike usually takes his shoes downstairs with him to put them on. Well today was no exception... but he had his MASSIVE boots. He said they were necessary. I though whatever. But then he asked me... should I tuck my jeans into my boots or leave them out? I thought this was an odd question...how often do you see MEN tuck their pants into their boots? I said I don't care. So then...he says well, my socks usually fall down so if I don't tuck my pants in, the boots will rub on my legs and that hurts. I again said, I don't care and walked up the stairs.
When I came down again, he had his hockey tape out and I was a bit confused.
What are you doing?
Taping my socks up.
Why? Wait, what?
Taping my socks up...
I thought the only place people taped their socks up was in hockey and soccer?
No...
Do you know anyone else who does this?
No...
And here is what I'm talking about...
Yes, really. My husband taped his white socks up to prevent chaffing around the legs... Wow. I guess it works and is a creative way of using what you've got, but I mean seriously?
We returned at 5pm. Ugh. Long Day but no chaffing!

-- Thanksgiving --
Do you ever feel like going home takes everything out of you? Well, I spent my weekend at home with my family, but with Mike and he spent it without me and the dogs.
Bummer.
I think that is a first... for that arrangement. Usually it's me gone with him home with the dogs or him gone with me home with the dogs, but never has it been me away with the dogs and him at home...
Yes, it was weird.
AND to top it all off, I forgot my wedding ring when we left so I went all weekend NAKED without it. Oh well. You win some, You lose some, right?!
I hope it was a Happy Thanksgiving for all!
Be sure to check out the latest giveaway over at Little Miss Martha today... :) Here it is.

Happy Thanksgiving
Well, last night Mr. K and I spent the night alone at our childhood homes! It was the first time we've done that since the wedding.
I'm cooking at my mom's and his mom is cooking at their house. This morning we have been cooking and cleaning. Thanksgiving at my house went from 6 people to 11. Nice. So now I have to double my stuffing recipe and I've already made one batch. It's the best stuffing! I love it!
So we are off to walmart...what a surprise!
Happy Thanksgiving... at the minute I'm thankful for stores being open, however I know the workers aren't that way.... I feel bad. But I am thankful for my lovely husband, my family, that my sister is home for the holiday, that my dad can stay home with us, my friends, my puppies, and this wonderful food we are about to eat!

Picture Time
While grabbing the camera for another reason this happened!
Not sure why I'm suprised...
Just Kidding Around! Although, Mr. Hockey does look a little scary there!
Well, I thought I'd save the best for last....even though it's not really great at all!
Did you think I meant professional pictures... no no no.

No More Craigslist
Last Thursday I found some bookshelves on Craigslist. I didn't know how tall they were, but they were tall. And to date, we've always been able to fit everything I've found/bought/wanted/needed into our little Ford Escape.
Well, on Saturday morning, I asked Mike to go with me to pick up these bookshelves I found on Craigslist. We went and he complained the whole time and then at the beginning of the drive over, he asked how big they were. I said, I don't know about 6ft maybe?! They are the big ones.
Mike - They won't fit.
Abby - Well then lets call her and tell her we don't want them and we'll turn around and go home.
Mike - No. We'll get them.
So we did. They didn't fit.
Mike shoved them into the back seat along with me and we drove all the way home with the trunk/hatch wide open - ALL THE WAY UP - me on my knees in the back holding onto these bookcases for dear life and also so I wouldn't fly out either.
Mike was waving and honking at everyone that drove by. He loves to embarrass me. I didn't look out the back when someone was behind us. I was mortified and here he is waving and honking. He may as well have put up a sign in the window that said I totally just won an argument with my wife and I'm trying to humiliate her so she won't ever make me do this again.
Yep...so that's why there's no more Craigslist. Mikes e-freaking-lated. Me, not so much.
Unless of course I rent a truck or we get a bigger car. This is a total bummer too b/c they were a great deal. $100 bookcases for $15 each. I love deals.

Wake Up
Is this a sign of what's to come?
The other night I was awoken by my baby boys...that is to say my dogs, Lex and Louie.
I'd like to put a little bit of emphasis on the "I" in that sentence as I was the only one that woke up.
Lex comes up to my side of the bed and starts barking. It's 3am. Lex will also start licking you as well, to get you to wake up. I get up at 4:45 Lex, just let me sleep. Don't you think their bladders could wait an hour?!? No...apparently they needed to go out RIGHT THEN. Or, they'd been barking for a while and finally got me to wake up.
Mike didn't even budge. Or if he did, he plays a good sleeper.
Does this mean that when we start a family that he won't budge for the babies? Or is there something different about an annoying dog bark than a baby cry? Any tips for how to get him to get up in the middle of the night instead of me?!? I see this not going well...

New Month, New Job
Well, Mike started his new job on Monday. I think he loves it. He goes into work around 10. That's the perfect job for him.
I'm hoping he starts to go in earlier, but we will see. Sleeping in is something he's good at. ;)
I wish I could sleep in. I get up at the butt crack of dawn to go to work. But I get Fridays off.
I'm very proud of Mike though. He was at his last job for almost 6 years. He worked really hard for that company. I know he'll work really hard at his new job too. He's just a hard worker.
Now, if we could both just work really hard at the gym, we'd be set! ;)

Funnies From The Card Aisle
Mike and I were in the card aisle a little while ago and came across this card. Do you think it's awful that i think it's funny? Everything on it moves...
It's like GWB Dancing. LOVE IT!!!
Ol' Dubya's Here...
Priceless.
Needless to say, we did not buy it as many people would not have found it as funny as we did.
I do love the new animated cards though...

Spooky Decor
Here we are. It's October and Halloween is just around the corner.
I've already introduced you to Mike's Monster Box. It doesn't go out until the last minute...incase of rain which I think would be its demise.
But here is what our house looks like. We are not quite finished decorating, but we beat out the rest of the neighbors by a long shot!
The guy scares me everytime I look out the window or walk out the front door.

Donuts
I leave for work around 5:30am.
Mike is always still sleeping when I go.
I try to give him a kiss when I leave and tell him I love him.
Some days I forget.
However, yesterday when I remembered, Mike said to me:
I love you too. And you can have the rest of the donuts.
I want to let you know, we had no donuts in the house...have not had donuts in FOREVER...were not talking about donuts the night before or anything! Not sure where this came from.
He was completely asleep.
Then as I'm walking out the door, he says to me:
What did I just say?
I responded:
And I can have the rest of the donuts.
Mike:
WHAT?!? I must have been asleep.
It was random to say the least.

Monster Box
So Halloween is kind of a big thing at our house.
If Mike could make a haunted house, he totally would. I think he's jealous of someone that I work with who does this very thing EVERY year in their garage...
Anyways, here is one of the items that mike made. Yes, that's right. He made it.
It's called the Monster Box. I can't believe he made it, but he did. It is motion activated so when someone walks by it, music turns on, lights flash, and the lid moves up and down.
He's very proud.
I think it's fun too.
Visit tomorrow to see what we did with that head he is holding...

Sunday Nights
Well all I have to say is that there is toooooooo much good TV on Sunday nights.
I think Mike and I were playing DVR wars all night long. This is a sure sign we watch way too much TV.
So I'll share with you the rundown of our Sunday night DVR list:
(in no particular order)
Keeping Up with the Kardasians
Boardwalk Empire
Desperate Housewives
Brothers and Sisters
The Amazing Race
Eastbound and Down
Undercover Boss
These are all I can think of right now... I think there are a couple more.
Due to the DVR being at MAXIMUM Capacity, our Sunday night line-up usually becomes a Monday Afternoon/Evening line up...
Oh...the woes of the Kellermeyer House.

Blizzard
Did I ever tell you about the Battle of the Blizzard?
Our treat to ourselves sometimes is DQ Blizzards. This has become a more frequent stop since they put the Peanut Buster Parfait Blizzard on the menu. I don't even know the right name, but if you say that, they know.
Anyways, I wanted to go get Blizzards a couple of weeks ago and Mike would not go with me. I don't remember why...maybe he was studying, I don't know. But he was clearly already eating ice cream... So since he wouldn't go, I went myself.
I drove to DQ, ordered my Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard (YUMM), and drove home... the whole time I was talking on the phone and never at any point, did it cross my mind to get him one... for 2 reasons. 1. He woudln't go.
2. He was already eating ice cream at home.
What would you have done?
So I got home, walked in, and sat down with my blizzard.
Mike: "Where's mine?"
Me: "I didn't get you one."
Mike: "No really, where is it?"
Me: "No really, I didn't get you one"
Mike: "What?! Where are you hiding it? C'mon, it's not funny."
Me: "Mike, you didn't want to go with me to get one and you were eating ice cream when I left... I just thought you didn't want one with those 2 things in combination."
Mike: "That's really mean."
So I was a meanie for a while because of that...

4 Square
Is anyone reading into this whole 4 Square thing? I don't even know if it's spelled right... you can tell I'm real into it.
Mike a few weeks back somehow was introduced to it. Oh, I remember, it was when we were carpooling. And he didn't have Howard to listen to so he had to listen to Smiley. Remember he doesn't particularly like Smiley.
One of those days, Smiley was talking about 4 Square and how he had to check in...so naturally Mike became intrigued by this.
But the funny thing is that he was picking me up and dropping me off at work so he would check in as many places around my work as possible. He really wanted to become Mayor of something. I don't know what the big deal is, but that was his goal (for 1 week). He thought he'd be able to become the Mayor of Starbucks. Well, was he wrong. Rajul or someone was already the Mayor and checked in there everyday. I thought this was funny, he didn't. I think Rajul worked there too so that didn't help Mike any. I think one day he walked in and when he picked me up that day he said "That Rajul works there! He waited on me today!" But his envy for Rajul was priceless! Not again, Jerk, What?! It's like 5am!... these were all things I'd hear.
I swear everywhere we went for like 10 days straight he had to check in or he'd ask me to remind him to check in. He would add new places to get more points. He finally became the Mayor of our House! WOW...really hard, right?!
Now, I don't think he checks in anywhere. That was just as quick of an obsession as Farmland on Facebook.

Trash
I got a call from Mike yesterday morning. He was out of breath. I wasn't quite sure why as it was like 8 in the morning.
So... I asked him "Why are you out of breath? Are you OK?"
He said, "Yes, I just chased the trash man."
I just started laughing.
"I had just gotten out of the shower and I heard the truck coming down the street so I threw on some clothes really quickly and ran to the back of the house, grabbed the trash can, and barely made it. Guess I got my workout in for the day."
This probably happens 2x a month...
But never has he called me immediately after it happened so I knew the story right then and there.
And when I came home yesterday there were 2 garbage bags in the garage that he'd forgotten.
Ooops.

Testing
So Mike has been taking this test. It's like a practice test. I may have told you about it before.
Well, his computer has some issues. It overheats. We need to get this taken care of, but we don't. The test is all online. It's a practice for the big test. I don't know where he'll do that. Anyways, it's like almost 3 hours long.
A few times, he's been taking it and he'll be halfway through and the computer will either turn off or the Internet will disconnect leaving him hanging and having to start the test over again. That sucks.
So he asked if he could use my computer. Of course since I'm a loving and helpful little wifey, I said yes. I mean, I could have been using it, but my stuff isn't as important. So he has to take the practice test online, get a passing score, and print it out so that he can take it to the real test.
Last night, he took the test on my computer, finished, passed, and then closed it out.
Yep, he forgot to print out the test so he'd have a certificate for the big test. Oops.
Don't forget to press print tonight hunny! ;) You'll do even better this time!

-- Pillows --
The last few weeks I keep waking up with a stiff neck. I'm not sure why...
Oh wait, that's right! Mike keeps stealing my pillow in the middle of the night. I'm not sure why, but he does. I wake up and he's holding it like a baby. Very strange.
Too much for me. I guess I'll have to get a back-up pillow, but he might steal that one too.

Rinks
Would you believe that between Mike and I, we are at the rink everyday of the week?
Monday - Mike coaches Cathedral Chatard Hockey Club at the Forum at Fishers.
Tuesday - I coach at the Arctic Zone.
Wednesday - Mike hockey practice at the Forum at Fishers.
Thursday - Mike hockey practice at The Forum at Fishers.
Friday - I coach at Carmel Ice Skadium.
Saturday - I coach at the Arctic Zone, Forum at Fishers, and Carmel Ice Skadium. Mostly with Elite Skating.
Sunday - I coach at the Forum at Fishers with the Junior Blades Program.
Not sure how I feel about this...
The rinks are getting old and cold.
Might be too much skating.
Since I put one of Mike on here, I thought I'd put one of me in my day...

TMNT
Anyone who is a true fan will know what TMNT stands for....
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
This morning when we woke up, we had the news on. I then turned on Project Runway so that I could watch it from last night. Mike did not like this...so while I was finishing putting the dishes in the dishwasher and I couldn't see the TV, but Mike had changed it.
I said, "Are you watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?" And he said, "How did you know that?!"
I knew by the voices of the turtles! I started laughing. My brother and I used to watch this movie ALL THE TIME!!!
We then watched it through the end. Ninja, Ninja Rap....Go Ninja Go Ninja Go! Love it.
Happy Friday!

Beautiful Day
Sunday was a beautiful day. I love when you can finally feel Fall is on it's way.
A little breezy, still warm, but not too hot, and SUNNY!!!
So, we took our boys for a long walk. We went through Forrest Park here in Noblesville. Started on the Square, crossed the white river, and then walked along the railroad tracks a bit. All in all, it was great!

Eggs
Almost every Sunday we have eggs. Not just any eggs, but Mike's cheesy salsa eggs. They are the best.
Mike is somewhat particular about what he cooks the eggs in. He prefers small skillets to the larger ones. I'm not sure why, because you'd think the bigger the better, right?!
Well, last Friday we were cleaning and waiting for our friends to stop by. During that time we were doing the dishes and this happened...
I hope you can notice that there are still eggs stuck to the broken skillet. Mike was totally devastated! Poor guy! I'll have to try to find him a mini skillet just like this for when he passes his test!!!
Now the cheesy salsa eggs (his specialty) will have to be made in a bigger skillet...hope it doesn't effect his work.

Moshi
One day we were at the mall and I went into Gap so Mike of course went across the hall to Brookstone. I love Brookstone, but it is one of those stores where everything in there is fun, interesting, and cool, but not really something you'd buy.
So Mike walks out with a bag. I thought what the hell did he buy?!? Last time he bought a mini helicopter that he played with like 1x and it was $30 so I could only imagine what was coming out of this bag when we got home. He wouldn't tell me until we got home what he had bought.
He runs upstairs and then tells me when I can come up. I walk into our room and he introduces me to Moshi. Moshi is an alarm clock. You talk to her, she talks to you. I thought Mike had lost his mind.
After living with our new roommate for about a week, we were trying to set Moshi for the next morning. You say, Hello Moshi and she responds back. Then you say Set Alarm. She responds, Tell me the time you want the alarm to be set. Then all you have to say is the specific time.
We said 7:15. Seven Fifteen. Moshi responds 6:18. We start all over again. Hello Moshi. Set Alarm. 7:15. Alarm is set for 8:19. WTF?!?
Hello Moshi. Set alarm. SEVEN FIFTEEEN!!!! By now we are screaming...not sure if it will help or hurt the situation. Alarm is set to 10:15. Well, we are halfway there!
We must have done this at least 10x. We tried to get real close and see if it helped. We tried to go far away...into another room... and yell at her and see if it helped. Finally we took a break and tried it one more time a bit later. Alarm is set for 7:18. CLOSE ENOUGH!!! We'll take it.
Thanks Moshi.
She has grown on me. Sometimes I like to use her sleep sounds. And Mike wakes up to another woman everyday! Hah. She's my only other ally in the house...all the rest are boys.

Maroon 5
All I know is that I'd rather be sleeping this morning! Last night I was invited to go to the Maroon 5 Concert here at the Murat Theater. It was a GREAT show! Adam Levine really knows how to play the crowd! Anyways, went with my friend and left Mike home to study.
I left my husband at home while he studied. It's weird to go to a concert without your man! The guy who sat next to us 1st, T -- the hairdresser, would not shut up at first! He just kept talking. Then he finally asked us where we got our hair done so that he could give us our business cards...and then he worked at like Great Clips basically. NO THANKS T!!!
Then three college boys came and sat in front of us. If the guy who sat two rows up from us wasn't enough to block the view these guys were there as reinforcements so that we couldn't see for sure! However, I think we were watching two of them just as often as the show. The one was on his phone the entire time -- texting. And the other was having his own little dance party and doing like Michael Jackson moves that I've never seen in such a small space! All three of them also knew EVERY word to EVERY song.
Just thought I'd post a couple of pictures of the boys! The real boys! Maroon 5! They are so awesome! So glad I went! Thanks Jenni!
For all of you hoping for great pictures...get over it! I forgot my memory card to my camera and my phone was dying the entire night...it finally shut off on me after like 3 songs! But here's what I got. I need a new phone with a better camera! Sorry for the shitty pics!

Good Job, Nice Try
Small tear...no one was entered for the giftcard. Guess I'll have to treat myself. :( Ok...time for the real post.
Sunday night Mike asked me to get him up when I was leaving for work the next day. Initially I said no. I leave really early in the morning, especially for a guy who could still sleep until noon. I thought, this never works when he asks me to...I always end up getting yelled at...he always gets angry and says I'm not getting up...So initially I said no.
I'm not sure what made me change my mind.
Monday morning comes along and I'm finished getting ready our conversation at 5:25 in the morning goes as follows...
Abby: Get up Mike.
Mike: Not yet.
Abby: Remember last night when you asked me to get you up when I was leaving? I said to you you'll never get up. You know how early it is. Well I'm doing what you asked and I don't have time to sit here and make sure you get up. -- by the way...I do know that I'm basically having a conversation with myself at this point.
Mike: Good Job.
Abby: Good Job to what?
Mike: Good Job, Nice Try
Abby: What?
Mike: Good job, Nice Try, I'm not getting up... and he rolls over.
Abby: Goodbye.
I left because I knew his alarm was set.

-- Light Fights --
Do you ever fight over the most random things? Or start a fight and by the time you are done, you don't remember what you are fighting about?
Well, last night I did just that to Mike.
We were both sitting in the office working on our computers and all of a sudden Mike pops up starts running and says I'm going to bed. Well, I like to go to bed before him. Why? That will have to be saved for another day. He also turns the lights off in rooms I'm using, like the office. Nonetheless, we still have to make sure all the doors are locked, lights are off, dogs were let out, etc.
So I asked him if he did these things? <-- of course he didn't, but he always says one of two things.
1. Of Course
2. I think I did.
I needed a drink of water. Since the above mentioned "before bed" duties are usually his, I just asked him to go check and grab me some water. Response -- I don't need any water. Good night. {Lays in bed, pulls the covers up, and invites Lex (our big dog) onto my spot on the bed}
So now I'm mad. I walk downstairs to let the dogs out, get some water, make sure the garage door is shut, and turn the lights off. None of the things he said were done were done. Then who comes down the stairs? You guessed it!
He does this on purpose you know. So now I'm mad. I finish with everything downstairs, go upstairs to get my pajamas on. Mike has hidden them. Seriously? Yes, Seriously.
I stand up on the bed, and put my foot on his chest and say WHERE ARE MY PAJAMAS...
I finally get them on and get into bed.
This entire fight was basically over turning the lights off. Both turning them off to stay off and turning them off on me when I need them. Turning the lights off. Does this ever happen to anyone else or am I the only one who doesn't want to get up in the morning to all the lights on and doors unlocked when I was told it was taken care of.

The Parking Garage
OK, so have you ever had trouble getting out of a parking garage? Well, I have.
Last week we went to Weber Grill downtown with Mike's parents. I had to meet them there because I was giving lesson so Mike drove with his parents and I drove by myself.
So we finished dinner...which was REALLY good by the way...and then said our goodbyes, walked around for a bit, and then finally made it back to my car. I was driving and Mike was in the passenger seat.
Apparently the signs for getting out of the parking garage PAST THE 2ND LEVEL were not very clear. Mike became a little angry with me because I kept making wrong turns... where it would say exit ->, I would go -> and then I'd be back on the 5th level. Then I'd try it again, assuming I missed the exit...The first time I did...but after that, where it would say to exit, it would only go up so we went around again.
It probably took us 20 minutes to get out the garage...
My favorite part though was when Mike thought it was all me and I was doing it wrong (And I was), he tried to guide me and I was all for it because I totally wanted out of this large garage maze. So he tried to tell me where to turn and which ways to go...and we still ended up going the wrong way.
Finally with a bit of teamwork we turned out onto Illinois St. THANK GOD!!!
And we drove home.

I parked in a parking garage that I have parked in many times before, but this time I parked on the 5th level instead of the usual 2nd. I've been parking in this garage since I was about 18 and driving to Pan Am to put skaters on for competition, but seriously I've never had to park above the 2nd level.

Grocery Shopping
Last night we went to the grocery store.
I probably should say that I went to the grocery store rather than we...
OR I should say I went with Mike and all his friends because he spent the entire time we were there with his phone stuck to his face! And to each one of them, he'd talk for like 5 minutes, look at me (giving him the evil grin), and then he'd say... "oh, we are grocery shopping let me call you back."
Then it would ring again...
This may as well be him in the picture.
Seriously Mike!
Then I even paid! I may as well have gone by myself.

Breakfast
Yes, Mike and I are still carpooling. He gets up with me in the morning, I drive to work and then he usually goes and sleeps in the car somewhere for a little while before he starts his day.
Today however, he sends me a text that states "I just had breakfast." Well I'm thinking McDonalds or whatever.
Wow...what have I married!?!? :)

Carpool 2
This morning we are driving to work.
Mike sleeps in the passenger side while I drive. I started with NPR on the radio, but then quickly changed to a station that played music.
Mike is snoring in the passengers side when Baby Go Back comes on the radio. It actually was on once I switched the channel.
SNORE... Baby Got Back.
Little in the Middle... SNORE.
How does he do that?!

The Whistle
While carpooling home from skating last night...
Yes, it was my turn to be at the rink. I swear between the 2 of us we are usually there every night of the week.
Anyways, I'm not sure how it got in my car, but when we drove back from home last weekend, a whistle appeared in my console. This is one heavy duty whistle, with hockey laces and everything so someone can hang it around their neck.
But back to the ... While carpooling home from skating last night, I turn to look at Mike and he's doing this...
Then, he blew it! I thought I was going to kill him. Windows were up and he blew as hard as he could. I think my ears are still ringing!
I laughed. Then I asked him NEVER to do that again!

Carpool
This week Mike's car is in the shop.
THAT REALLY SUCKS
for two reasons...
1. It will probably cost a fortune and it's really not worth much.
and 2. WE HAVE TO CARPOOL.
I go to work at 6am, which means we have to leave around 5:30am.
Mike usually goes to work around 8:30 (???) which means he gets up about 8:15am.
Needless to say this is not fun!
This morning I asked him to get up 4x and he finally got up at 5:20 and said "Do we really have to leave in 10 minutes?" To which I responded, "Yes. Same time everyday!"
I really hope is car is fixed soon. We can't take this!
Yesterday he took me to work, went to his own work, hung out at Starbucks until I was finished with my work, we then dropped him off at hockey practice, I went home, and then I picked him up after he was finished.
I really hope it's fixed soon.

This is basically what he looks like on the ride in, minus the baldness and car seat. And tight shirt. |
And then since he has Sirius Radio, he bitched about the radio the entire ride with fake laughs and the constant "I HOPE YOU KNOW, THIS SHOW ISN'T EVEN FUNNY."

Signs
I have a sort of obsession with vintage signs. I'd love to have this sign in our kitchen.
Or this one for our upstairs hall.
So I've been thinking...do you think this one would fit somewhere in our House?!

Mike's Fave
Mike has a few things that he LOVES...
One of them is Bandidos.
I'm really not sure what it is about this place, but he has to go there every time we are in town. It's a Mexican restaurant in Fort Wayne, IN. I know there is one in Muncie too.
Last time we went, here is what happened...

A Moment
We have 2 dogs...
Lex and Louie
The other day Lex and Mike were giving each other some lovin'. Maybe Lex was giving more than Mike.
Lex and Louie
Sometimes they are the neediest dogs ever. Lex thinks he's small so he jumps up in your lap and then looks awkwardly uncomfortable once he gets there...I think because he realizes he's too big to be doing that and then stays there anyways.
I'll tell you about Lou some other time.

King of Kong
I think it was last Thursday night...
I came downstairs around 11 or so to see where Mike was. Obviously it was bed time.
There was this really strange movie on. It was like they were in an arcade. The only problem was that there as this one man, Steve, who wasn't so nerdy like the rest.
Of course I sat down, intrigued by the huge glasses, cuffed jeans, and mullets.
The movie was called King of Kong - A Fist Full of Quarters... now a new favorite.
Long story short, Mike was watching a documentary on Donkey Kong and one particular battle to get the high score at Fun Spot and LIVE.
Of course drama unfolds and the nerds are like a group of cool kids who don't want to let anyone in... There are even referees to make sure everything is good and legal and no cheating is involved. The refs are from Twin Galaxies. It's really unbelievable.
(source)
Mike loves this movie so much of that we showed it to our guest on Saturday night.
"Possible Donkey Kong kill screen coming up if anyone is interested."
I think it's Mike's new obsession. Someday I'm sure we'll have an Old School Donkey Kong or Pac Man video arcade game in our garage so that Mike can go attempt to beat a high score at a Fun Spot Arcade and become a part of this random culture.
